Hetmancev Calls for Limits on Salaries of State Bank Executives

The head of the Financial Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Hetmancev, expressed outrage over the high salaries of state bank executives during the war and proposed that the government impose limits on these payments. He disclosed data on the salaries of top managers, calling them unacceptable in the context of a full-scale war. The chairman of PrivatBank receives 2.6 million UAH, his deputy over 1.5 million UAH, and members of the supervisory board earn 916 thousand UAH. The head of Ukrgasbank receives 1.9 million UAH, while board members earn a similar amount. The chairman of the supervisory board of Ukrgasbank earns 670 thousand UAH. The salary of the chairman of Sberbank is 1.3 million UAH, and his deputy earns 1.2 million UAH. Hetmancev urged the Cabinet to intervene in the situation and reconsider the payment policies in state banks. He also initiated a bill for a 50% tax on bank profits, emphasizing that the sector is profitable and capable of paying more.
