U.S. Department of Justice: Takes Seriously Criminal Investigation Referral Related to Federal Reserve Board Member Powell

Tonight, Trump called out on Truth Social, saying, "Federal Reserve Board Governor Cook must resign immediately!!!" Trump's staunch ally, Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte, wrote to Department of Justice officials, hinting that Federal Reserve Board Governor Cook may have committed criminal acts. According to a copy of the letter revealed by Bloomberg, the letter accuses Cook of "falsifying bank documents and asset records to obtain more favorable loan terms, potentially violating criminal law constituting mortgage fraud."
